Tom Hooper, King’s Speech director, has embarked on the project to revive Les Miserables, a classic novel and a broadway musical set in 19th Century France. Apparently Universal has set a release date of December 2012 and on board is Hugh Jackman for sure and in talks are Russell Crowe and Helena Bonham Carter.
I must admit, I enjoyed the Broadway version immensely but have never really been a fan of all the film versions of the play. So, although Tom Hooper is on board to direct this new version, I must say I am not too sure if I am at all interested, even though I am a fan of Helena Bonham Carter. Stay tuned?
