This is an independent film (by Paul Morrison) about a moment in history detailing political and personal change within a generation of young artists in Spain during 1922— Buñuel, García Lorca and Dalí — who during their youth were in revolt against the forces of bourgeois conformism into which they were born — church, state, army, and landed aristocracy. Their rebellion and the wider fight for freedom and justice that followed were eventually crushed from within.
The film follows their movement into freedom and back into repression by expressing the fun carefree and exciting times of their early years and then moving with them to a deep kind of knowledge of despair, beauty and eventually death: Hence leaving a legacy that still lives on.
