I knew from the beginning that this movie is a MUST SKIP and I declared it so over and over again. But to be fair to friends I often see movies with, I allowed them to lead me into the theatre showing the movie The Box because they voted to see it.
Disappointing plot and no acting make for bad movie. This one wins the prize for sure for 2009. Just one thing I want to address, when was 911 truly recognized and referred to as 911? I could swear it was in the 80’s, The Box is set in 1976 and throughout the entire movie the emergency operator greeting was referring to 911.
Speechless and disgusted, I watched the movie and left the theatre even more disappointed with myself for wasting an evening watching such a terrible movie. What can I say, we all make mistakes sometimes.
