Apparently, there is a movie in the works called Bel Ami, starring Robert Pattinson and Christina Ricci. This is a story about a 19th century French journalist names Georges Duroy (Pattinson), who climbs the social ladder by sleeping with and manipulating influential women.
Ricci will play a promiscuous housewife named Clotilde, who is a victim of Duroy’s manipulations, along with Uma Thurman as Madeleine Foresteir and Kirstin Scott Thomas as a socialite who falls madly for Duroy.
I guess when it comes to climbing any social ladder, age is not a factor. I do hope Pattison will not draw from Edward Cullen (his vampire character from Twighlight) to play Georges Duroy. Filming will begin next month.
