A successful British ghostwriter, The Ghost(Ewan McGreggor), is asked to write the memoirs of former British Prime Minister Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnon). But when he arrives to the oceanfront home of the former British minister to partake in the project, a former British cabinet minister accuses Lang of authorizing illegal seizure of terrorists and handing them to the US-CIA for torture. As the story unfolds, bringing many journalists and reporters to the scene, the Ghost, tries to protect his reputation but instead finds himself unfolding the truth and discovering that he is in the middle of a complex controversy encompassing the prime minister’s circle and a possible murder of his predecessor to boot.
The movie comes to us by the much controversial director, Roman Polanski. It is a suspense thriller with an edgy script and creative filming techniques as usual from Polanski. It opens on a limited engagement on Friday 2/19/2010 and nationwide 3/5/2010. It is a must see in my opinion.
