What a cool promo picture for the film Buried. A movie about a civilian contractor Ryan Reynolds) who is kidnapped in Iraq and buried alive in a coffin in the desert with only a phone, a candle and a knife.
I am sure this film will keep the audience on the edge of their seats just based on the plot,but I hope Reynolds (a true comedian at heart) can deliver the role to justify the story. The trouble I am having with the film is the fact the terrorists who buried him were generous enough to leave him with a cell phone, a candle and a knife. I suppose the strategy is to see if he is able to free himself otherwise he will die on his own terms.
Buried, which Lionsgate bought at Sundance Film Festival for $3.5 million, will have a limited release on September 24th followed by a wide release 2 weeks later on October 8th.
