It must be nice to have projects planned well into 2012 and if you are Steven Spielberg, you have the option to pick and choose project even before they are penned by an author.
Apparently, Spielberg was interested in making a film based on Daniel Wilson the not completed sci-fi novel Robopocalypse. Meaning, at the time Spielberg showed interest the novel wasn’t yet completed. But now it is and since Spielberg is busy this year with War Horse and Tin Tin, he will begin working on the project January 2012.
