From Cannes, Sundance and Toronto Film Festivals list of must see films in 2010, comes Blue Valentine. The story of a young married couple, who’s relationship is told over a span of years by going back and forth through different parts of their lives.
I think outside of wanting to support the talented actors, who play the couple (Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling), the story which sounds a bit cliche-ish and uninspiring, may have trouble at the box office. Especially since it opens on December 27th, during a time when people search for holiday films and funny ones to keep their spirits up.
