Zach Galifianakis – Hidden Talent

In the recent weeks I have rented and watched 2 films which Zach Galifianakis was in. Due Date (2010) and It’s Kind of A Funny Story (2010). Neither film made it in the theatres, but I suppose sometimes films with substance  fall through the cracks, especially when released the same day as the blockbusters.

Let me clarify that I first became familiar with Zach’s work, while watching the first Hangover. At the time I  felt his performance was pretty standard for the role he played. However, after watching his performance in Due Date and It’s Kind of A Funny Story I couldn’t help but think, what a talented actor Zach Galifianakis truly is and in my opinion, we haven’t seen the best of it yet.

He does remind me of Richard Dryfus in a weird kind of way and if given the opportunity to play more series role, he will no doubt deliver the performance we long to see in talented actors.

Do rent either film to see Zach Galifianakis at his best.
