The sad thing is that most every industry in the U.S. and various parts of the world is collapsing and it’s doing so, one by one. Some of it is because, we did it to ourselves and others are because of poor management or lack of vision and preparation some 20 years back.
The interesting part of this epidemic is that, it is forcing every industry to question itself truly, from the core out, like they have never done before. It is a crucial and very necessary exercise to go through, if they want to remain players in the game of global domination or simply maintain their status quo.
A great example of this interesting time in history is the film Page One: Inside The New York Times. A documentary which addresses the very concern of a dinosaur industry who fights to remain competitive and in existence through the e-media conversion.
