Part of good film promo is the concoction, if I may say, of a proper movie poster. One that will impact, will draw interest, will stir up anticipation and sometimes even admiration. So, when I saw the movie poster for The Iron Lady, I was completely taken back by it’s bizarre appearance even tho I understood the attempt the artist was trying to make in piecing together Margaret Thatcher’s influential role during the Cold War era.
However, for those not familiar with Thatcher’s stature nor her place in History because, they either don’t care or were to young to understand, the film poster does nothing but turn the potential film audience even further away for the simple fact, it is not esthetically pleasing to the eye.
