The story goes like this. two American friends travel to Barcelona for a 2 months stay while one does research for her PhD and the other searches to find herself. Interesting concept and very typical of most American college students.
The twist is of course they meet an artist in a bar and both receive the offer to sleep with him. They each find the artist intriguing until his ex-wife enters the picture and things become more complicated until the very end.
The movie starts out strong and keeps you on your toes and it is a pleasure to watch a story with a different take then the typical American standards of marriage and relationship. The ending however is a bit disappointing and feels very rushed. Nonetheless, this movie is definitely a must. Written and directed by Woody Allen, starring Rebecca Hall, Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.
A very well put together story from beginning to end. The location was superb and the acting was great from a couple of the actors. I thought Penelope made it happen for this movie her presence was felt with every line she delivered. Too bad she did not appear earlier in the movie and she was not used as much as I would have want to see her. Over all, this is a good DVD rental
