I don’t think there is a need for an introduction to Anne Hathaway, unless you have missed The Devil Wears Prada, Get Smart, Rachel Getting Married and Bride Wars (and this is just the last 2 years). But I do want to say that I am a fan of her work and think she is the Audrey Hephburn of this generation. Can you just see her in Breakfast At Tiffanys, should they decide to remake that as well (I hope they don’t, but if they do I would vote for her to play the role of Holy Golightly)
Just in case you are wondering, Hathaway has a busy year ahead. She’s scheduled to play Judy Garland in the movie Get Happy (which will secure her Oscar for sure when the movie is released and hopefully nominated). Then she just signed on for Tokyo Suckerpunch with Toby McGuire, as well as a small role in The Fiance for Warner Brothers. And just this week she signed on for Love and Other Drugs in which she will reunite with co-star Jake Gyllenhaal (previously starred in Brokeback Mountain together).
In my opinion, Hathaway is a timeless and versatile actress and at the fresh age of 27 is more than capable of switching gears from one role to another. She is a true talent and I feel over time will be able to hang her star among classic hollywood leading ladies of decades past.
Some of Hathaway’s best work: Becoming Jane, Devil Wears Prada, Rachel Getting Married, Princess Diaries 1 and 2. Get Smart.
