All difference put aside and not to mention the fact this may be news prematurely reported, but Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams have agreed to co-produce MI-IV for a release date of 2011 via Paramount Pictures.
This isn’t bad news in my opinion, since everyone in Hollywood is jumping on the sequel bandwagon, but hopefully the script will revive the franchise as the last one somewhat fell through the cracks at the box office.
Nonetheless, MI-IV project is slotted to take shape behind Star Trek 2 and T3 projects already in the works. Not to mention the busy schedule of Abrams and Cruise. Stay tuned for more developments as they become available.
