According to Variety Magazine
“The man behind the magic will soon be brought to life at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco’s Presidio.
The 10 interactive galleries in the three-building facility, complete with a 113-seat theater, will display rare photos and memorabilia, including 4 1/2 hours of never-before-seen footage.
The voice of Walt Disney will guide visitors through the exhibits through archival audio.
Timed-entry tickets will be sold in advance for the museum, which opens Oct.”
I am an admirer of Walt Disney and hence excited that in my city, they plan to house a museum about him and his work. Timing is everything however and I wish the museum would open in the high tourist (summer) season instead of October. Also, The Presidio is not user friendly so let’s hope this project works out for everyone involved.
