Back in August 2009, Disney announced it’s interest in acquiring (sometimes referred to as a merger) of Marvel Comics. Well, apparently the deal is very done as the stockholders voted and the negotiations finalized for a mere 4.3M deal. I wasn’t happy to hear of this news in August but that is merely for sentimental reasons. From a business perspective it makes sense for corporations to do what must be done to increase profitability and for Disney, Marvel is it.
I am curious to see how this pans out. Best wishes to Disney on it’s efforts to branch out.
