I think I have said enough about the musical – Nine – but just in case there was any doubt in anyone’s mind as to whether to drop a handful of dollars to see the movie, I say, YES. It is a good escape from all the blockbusters currently playing at movie theatres and is cheaper than seeing an actual musical on stage.
Here is the deal, although age is not too much of a factor for most musical moviegoers, Nine is geared toward a certain type of audience, oddly referred to as those experiencing midlife crisis.
It is aesthetically a wonderful film however, director Rob Marshall was able to capture the true sense of Italy’s unique and beautiful qualities during the 60’s and put it on the silver screen for us to enjoy. That in itself is worth the film, if not the storyline.
Anyway, I can’t say it enough, please do see the movie and escape into something wonderful.
