Jacques (Brian Cox), the owner of a New York dive bar, who serves only to an assortment of professional drinkers, ends up in a hospital due to a heart attack. There he meets Lucas (Paul Dano), a homeless young man who had attempted to commit suicide, and decides to take him under his wings in order to train him to take over his business when he passes. But as usual their friendship is put to the test when a young woman by the name of April(Isild Le Besco) shows up to the bar asking Lucas for help.
The film, The Good Heart released by Magnolia films and is written and directed by Dagur Kari. Opens nationwide on 4/30/2010.
