Steve Carell plans to leave The Office after the show’s seventh season – next year. Apparently he has 10 films in the works and since he would have fulfilled his The Office contractual obligation with season seven, he will leave the show to become a full fledged movie star.
I have no problem with this news, even though I will miss him on The Office. Best of luck to Steve Carell (not that he needs it).
