Being a fan of British based films, I am anxious for the release of ONE DAY, a movie based on the novel by David Nicholls. The story is about two people from different worlds. Emma Morley (Anne Hathaway) who is convinced she is destined to a life of mediocrity, and a spoiled, handsome playboy named Dexter Mayhew (Jim Sturgess). They become friends while attending Edinburgh University and because of their difference, the two settle on meeting only once a year on July 15th, which happens to be the first time they met, in order to catch up and touch basis since having relations is not an option. This goes on for 20 years and of course we can only imagine the regrets, tears, heartbreaks and the final outcome of the film.
Now I know the film sounds similar to When Harry Met Sally and probably as sappy as Nothing Hill or Love Actually but I actually plan to see it when we get word of a release date. But in the meantime I want to hear from fans of When Harry Met Sally – will you see the film?
