It’s been reported that Tim Burton and Johnny Depp’s 8th collaboration will be the project, Dark Shadows, based on a TV series which ran from 1966-1971. just in case you don’t have time to google it, it’s the story of gothic-horror tale centering on the life of vampire Barnabas Collins and his run-ins with various monsters, witches, werewolves and ghosts. The original TV series ran from 1966-1971 and Warner Bros. purchased the rights to make it into a movie in 2007.
Based on Burton’s style of film making, we are more than certain this film will be yet another example of weird and wonderful all wrapped up in one.
Filming is scheduled for April 2011, which could mean Depp may have to drop out of Kathryn Bigelow’s Sleeping Dogs with Tom Hanks. Stay tuned my friends.
