Another remake of course, Arthur (original was done in 1981) – the story of a drunken playboy millionaire who stands to lose everything when he falls for a woman his family doesn’t like. Film is due out April 8, 2011. Stars Russell Brand, Jennifer Garner and Helen Mirren.
The big positive about the remake is that Russell Brand is ideal for the role of “modern day” Arthur and talented Helen Mirren is smashing as his nanny – which is a new twist from the original Arthur -who had a male butler instead.
Anyway for those of you who have seen the original Arthur with Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli and were a fan back then like I was, watch the trailer and let me know what you think? Would you see it? I just might 🙂
