I had no idea Ben Affleck had bailed on being part of the Great Gatspy cast. But okay, I will accept that since I wasn’t pleased with the fact they were remaking The Great Gatspy.
The reason for his choice to bail is so that he could direct the film Argo, which is based on a true story and put on script by Chris Terrio.
The film is set in 1979 and is about a CIA agent who has to rescue diplomats out of Tehran. The plan is the crew would pose as a Hollywood studio filmmakers who plan to shoot a sci-fi filmed called Argo in Tehran. The best part is Alan Arkin will play the OSS agent turned film producer.
