Release Date: January 8, 2009. Out of sheer respect for Streep and Hoffmans‘ talent I am giving this movie an honorable mention. There I said it. The topic is a sensitive one and I don’t think the religious folk around the globe are ready to see it on screen yet. Streep’s performance is outstanding as usual and possibly Oscar worthy, other than that, the movie, which is directed by John Patrick Shanley, will be in and out of the theaters with minimal buzz and perhaps lots of controversy.
