A British “amateur” celebrity gossip writer is offered a post in New York to write for a high-profile tabloid magazine. Although he has trouble fitting into the American way of doing business, Simon Pegg, with his corky British sense of humor, surely offers plenty to keep you interested in this film. In addition, there are many funny and entertaining chain of events that take place that keep the story line moving at a enjoyable pace. But I think the person who’s performance stood out the most for me was that of Gillian Anderson (X-Files) as a hard-core publicist.
This is a fun movie to watch for everyone who wants a good laugh. How to Lose Friends and Alienate People is now available on DVD.
