Meryl Streep has signed up to play a role in a movie by Nancy Meyer (What Women Want) in the upcoming months. Although the project is untitled it is a romantic comedy about a middle aged woman falling for a much younger man, played by John Krasinski (The Office) and the trials and tribulations of such relations. In the meantime another man closer to her age, played by Steve Martin, pursues her as well, causing her to be torn between desire and what is right. Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) will also be involved in this project. The movie is scheduled to begin filming February 2009 for release December 2009. I can’t wait to find out more details regarding this project, I am certain it will be a wonderful script. I am also happy with the cast, except Krasinski, because I don’t think he is the proper match to Streep, unless he is cast as a goofy, inexperienced younger man, fumbling along. However, I am excited to see Baldwin and Martin alongside Streep. Stay tuned.
