The New Ghostbusters – Why?

Not sure why, but the news is Ghostbusters is jumping on the bandwagon of remakes and the biggest decision to be made for this movie is which one of the above actresses should become the new generation of ghostbusters. Alyssa Milano or Eliza Dushku. I actually can’t believe I am writing about this but I guess I am wondering what is becoming of Hollywood’s creativity. Why are so many movies being remade? What is wrong with starting from scratch and penning an original screenplay for once.

My take is if there are plans to remake Ghostbusters, it won’t matter much which actress stars in the movie, for all we know negotiations could lead to getting both of them for the price of one. At least we can all rest assure that Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver are both on board. I can assure you this is the last you will hear from me about the project.
