Oh what joy for me to report back to back two great films coming to us later this year. Earlier I spoke about The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and now this. It’s Complicated – no really that’s the title of the movie, here is the bonus, wait for it, wait for it. It’s starring my favorites: Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin.
This is a a movie written/directed by Nancy Meyers (What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday) about a woman named Jane (Streep) who is the mother of three grown kids and an owner of a successful bakery in Santa Barbara. After a decade of being divorced from her now ex-husband they attend a wedding for one of their children and decide to rekindle their romance. The problem is the husband (Baldwin) is now married to a much younger woman and Jane is now playing the role of the other women. In the midst of all this enters Adam (Martin) into Jane’s life and soon discovers that he is in the middle of a love triangle.
Well, the title says it all and the movie opens December 25th. Funny thing is, the holidays are around the corner and I suggest tagging this movie on your “to do list” for December just to make sure you don’t miss it. Can you just image those three together in a movie? I don’t have to remind anyone I am a fan of Baldwin and Streep and hence highly recommend the movie.
