What a long title? I suppose there was nothing else that could have summed up the movie Did You Hear About The Morgans better. The funny thing about it is that no one but their pesonal assistants cared to know about the Morgans.
Anyway, the movie is about a successful New York couple, Meryl and Paul Morgan (Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant) who have reached a point in their relationship where they had to decide whether or not to reconcile after an extra marital affair on Paul’s part. In the midst of their personal struggles, they are faced with participating in a witness protection program as a result of witnessing a murder.
The story dry as ever, with no real substantial point or an objective was surprisingly pleasant to watch only because of the dialogue. I loved the jabs the couple was taking at one another and their natural reaction to their new found home in Wyoming. I chuckled a few times and as usual loved Hugh Grant’s innocent boyish attitude toward life in general. Never mind SJP’s annoying tone, she was also funny enough to keep it going. As for the rest of the cast, their performances were simply not significant enough to remember or mention.
Anyway, rent the movie if you must otherwise it really won’t make a difference in your life if you don’t, unless of course you are a true fan of Hugh Grant or Sarah Jessica Parker.
