Cannes Film Festival – The Tree of Life – Brad Pitt

Well, so excited since the Cannes Film Festival kicks off today in France, that I just had to list a film which is getting a lot of buzz. Not sure if it’s because of Brad Pitt and Sean Penn or just that the film is actually really good.  Written and directed by Terrence Malick and will be distributed by Summit Entertainment

Here are the details: The Tree of Life is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950’s. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father. Jack finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. (The Cannes Film Festival Site)
